MARTIN LUTHER KING JR SERVICE FAIR DONATIONS
On January 20, 2020 the citizens of Cranford and their friends are invited to participate in the 7th Annual MLK Day of Service Fair, marking the 25th anniversary of the MLK Day of Service that celebrates the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Observed each year on the third Monday in January, the MLK Day is “a day on, not a day off.” It is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. The Corporation for National and Community Service has led this effort for the last quarter century.
You can participate in Cranford’s 7th Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service by making a donation of:
1. diapers or baby wipes for Raphael’s Life House
2. new women’s and children’s pajamas for the Union County Women’s shelter
3. individually packaged toothbrushes and toothpaste (regular size), deodorant and bar soap for homeless youth.
There will be a donation box in the St. Michael Parish Center and in the church foyer from January 18-19.
PARTICIPATE IN THE SERVICE FAIR – MONDAY, JANUARY 20, 4:30 – 6:30 P.M.
And please join us at the Service Fair at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford on Monday, January 20, 4:30-6:30 P.M., to participate in small service projects geared towards helping the mission of NJ non-profits. The donation items listed above can be brought to the service fair as well.
