“Christ Jesus…obedient to the point of death…”
This week, above all, we ‘gather’, even if ‘virtually’, to walk hand in hand in company with Jesus, from His triumphant entry to Jerusalem to His death on Good Friday—and beyond, to His Resurrection—the Jesus Who took upon Himself all the consequences of humanity’s disobedience.
Let us take the time to show our unity in the sacred observance of Jesus’ Paschal Mystery—His passage through death to life—by our personal prayer and reflection, and by being together ‘virtually’ via our live-streamed Holy Week liturgies.
While it will seem surreal, being in church without our people physically present, we priests will be acutely aware of your participation in spirit, as we pray with you and for you.
This is the week that proclaims to the world our faith in Christ and in His work of saving Love, and the hopeful message that “death is swallowed up in victory”.
We remember; we celebrate; we believe!
